November 5th....

Well, here we are and it's November 5th. The election is over and the thing I dreaded has happened. I am rather 'down' today and so disappointed in my country. Here's why... our nation has just done something terrible that it doesn't even realize. I say this speaking from a spiritual perspective and so those who may read this who are not Christians aren't going to 'get' where I'm coming from (because they have a different perspective on the world). What this nation has just done is chosen for ourselves a leader that will absolutely take us right out from under the umbrella of God's mercies.

We are a nation founded on Judeo-Christian principles; our laws are built on these principles and the government was organized and set up according to them also. That may not be how it's taught in the schools today - but it's still true regardless. God lays it out pretty plainly in the Bible about how our choices (both individually & as a nation) will put us either under an umbrella of God's mercy & protection ~OR~ take us out from under it. America has been making some pretty bad decisions about what we will allow to take place over the last 35-40 years... we're ripe for God's judgment. I believe that the main reason it hasn't fully fallen yet, is that we've always had enough people with a more conservative set of beliefs to keep things in check. That is gone now (in government).

Yesterday, America voted for a candidate for President who can't even prove that he's legally eligible to be the POTUS and most don‘t seem to care. America really doesn't know enough about this man to know where his true allegiance is placed. America voted for someone who is (at the very least) very socialistic, even if he isn’t a card-carrying socialist. America voted for someone who attacks and shuts down anyone who is brave enough to ask him a real question about his ideas, agenda, character, judgment, etc.... America voted for someone that is the most radically liberal senator the US Senate has ever seen. America voted for someone who is more radically pro-abortion than even the radical group, NARAL; America essentially voted for No Restraints on any type of abortion and they’ve actually voted for infanticide (and many don’t even realize what they’ve done) because BHO has promised to sign the ‘Freedom of Choice Act’ ASAP. America has voted to cut defense spending & cater to terrorist nations and therefore make our nation’s defenses weak. America has voted to deny free speech rights to those people who hold to a conservative set of values by choosing Obama who supports the so-called ‘Fairness Act’. America has voted to move ‘Chicago-style politics’ into the White House by voting for Obama. By choosing to vote for Obama, America has chosen SO MANY Radical things that it doesn’t even realize it was making a decision on. Our nation just picked a ruler whose record is clear...he votes against Godly principles. This means we’ve chosen to step out from under that protective umbrella even if the nation didn’t realize what it was choosing. Actually, when a people chose to turn from God, they usually don’t realize just what they’re doing.

Now, having said all that, I’m still glad to be an American. I Know that God can (and will) still cover and protect His people who choose to follow His principles and look to Him as Lord. There will be a transfer of power in January as there always is after an election in the US and Christians all through the land will pray for our nation’s leaders and ask God to guide Obama. God will answer those prayers and will provide Heavenly guidance to the President. Let us hope that he will listen to the guidance of God over his own very radical, liberal inclinations. Then, perhaps, America will continue to exist under God’s mercies instead of feeling the force of His judgment because of how far America has strayed from Him.

“...if my people, who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chron. 7:14

Sometimes, I guess I Just Don't "Get It"

"What don't you get?" you may ask. I don't get how people within certain demographics could support Obama. It doesn't make any logical sense and that's what's so hard to understand. OK, I can see how those who turn to the mainstream media as their source of information could be caught up in the resulting Obama-mania. They have their 'news' and refuse to listen to anything else. I can understand why other people in certain groups...such as Planned Parenthood & abortionists...would support Barack Obama; he champions their cause. I understand why liberals and radicals would support BHO...after all he's really one of them at heart.

Here's where I just don't get it...how can any Jewish, Christian or military people support him? I mean people who otherwise seem to have some intelligence and understanding of things. How can any rational, thinking, informed Christian, Jew or soldier want to elect BHO as the President? Alright, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they really are informed, etc... That's just the way I am...regardless of first impressions or instinct, I try to give a person that benefit -- at least until they show me otherwise.

Maybe my answer is in that last paragraph...maybe those people are not informed - they're actually misinformed and just don't know it. Everybody must know that a person can sincerely believe something and can be sincerely wrong because they were misinformed, misled, lied to. I mean, seriously, how could a Jewish person just listen to Obama's soothing words spoken trying to win their vote and then ignore the fact of his record - knowing BHO actually supported, voted, and acted for...even praised Israel's enemies? And I mean enemies that have sworn to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth. How could a soldier (who, although patriotic, doesn't like the thought of being deployed into a war zone - of course) support a candidate after only listening to his eloquent and scripted public speeches? Doesn't everyone know that Obama has made a career out of telling everyone whatever he thinks they want to hear at the moment and then changing it the minute it's expedient? Don't they know that in spite of all his words about getting them out of Iraq...he keeps changing his statements and his timeline and won't even commit to having them out by the end of his first term (that would be 2013). Don't they realize he votes to cut support for the troops and has pledged quite a few changes that WILL make America defenseless? I heard his very plain statements myself. The very people who have been willing to defend our nation and freedom in the world could not want to elect a President whose policies could mean the end of our nation...could they? Not really. In spite of hearing that some do, there is good evidence that the vast majority of the military Supports Senator John McCain!

And Christians...that's the hardest one for me to reconcile in my own mind. You see, I love the Jewish people and I strongly support Israel. I honor & respect our military people and their families. But, I AM a Christian. That's what makes it a little weird to hear an intelligent-sounding Christian supporting BHO. I don't say that just because I don't support him; I say it because BHO is opposed to what I (as a Christian) stand for. His actions go against Biblical principles. How can any Christian support that? It's something I've wondered about during this election season. All I can figure is that they, too, are actually uninformed or misinformed. The only other option is that they are among those who call themselves "progressive Christians" ...basically these are people who do not really take God's word at His word. They're like those who do not believe the Constitution is written in ink...they want to call it a 'living, changing document' so that they can constantly change it to suit themselves. “Progressive Christians” want to do that with the Bible. I've tried to find out if there was anything else that would cause a Christian to vote against Christian beliefs...to understand the 'why' of it. But that was just another one of those so-called 'negative' un-welcome (& unanswered) questions. ...And that takes me to my next thought....

What troubles me most about this is that I see something scary going on and even some Christians aren't exempt from it. What is it? ...It's this attitude that defines the Obama camp and is an unhealthy attitude. If someone mentions something (anything) that BHO (or a BHO supporter) doesn't want to hear or answer, They Will Be Attacked. If they can't keep it out of the public's eyes, these questioning people will be called things that they aren't. They will be accused of doing things that they aren't. They may be ridiculed or see their family attacked. Their personal lives will be invaded and nothing will stop them from being shredded to the best of the BHO camp's ability. Their private business flung open before America. Whatever it was that had been brought up will be denied, then twisted and turned on Obama's opponent. Their stations will be cut off, their reporters will be thrown off the plane. And then they say 'the other side is negative' (Excuse me???). Un-welcomed questions will NOT be answered and will have consequences for anyone who dares to be "negative" enough to smear Obama by asking them. Concerns and questions about Obama's character, judgment and integrity will not be tolerated by him, his followers, or his media. This is the attitude of censorship that a dictator displays. It does not speak well of anyone who would be a leader of our nation.

Obama has refused to answer any of the legitimate questions & concerns of the American people...AND THERE ARE MANY! Maybe because when he does have an un-scripted moment...he's likely to let his real beliefs slip out:

• "I just believe that when you spread the wealth around it's good for everybody."
• "...they cling to their guns and religion..." etc....
• What's his cut-off for a middle-class income? $250,000. ...no $200,000. well, really it's $150,000. actually that's $120,000(oops -he shouldn't have said that) And what he actually did was vote for tax increases on people who made $41,600. in the last year or so. When running for his state senate seat, he also used the promise of tax cuts for 95% of them...then he actually voted for tax increases.

Maybe it's because he knows he can't produce proof that he's eligible to be President...because he really isn't. And now, the bottom line: Maybe it's because it would be counter-productive in his (Saul Alinsky style) attempt to manipulate the masses into doing exactly what he wants them to do for him and his radical cohorts...vote for him.

Talk about "signs of the times"... This Election season has been a pretty good illustration of that. Of course this shouldn't require repeating... (but I will anyway) :-) One of the great things about America is that we are all free to have our own opinions, vote for our choice, and determine 'who' we will be. That's as it Should Be. I've always tried to understand somebody else's point of view - even when I completely disagree with it. The point I make with this Blog is just this: when I look at what some people are choosing... I Just Don't Get it.

Certain Rights...

LIFE, Liberty & the Pursuit of Happiness

Above are the three God-given rights of American citizens which are specifically named in the Declaration of Independence. All are important to us as Americans, but there is a reason that 'life' was listed first. It is the most important of our rights - for without it, what are the others?

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, ...

Our founding fathers understood that government was an institution that was designed to protect the nation and the rights of its individual citizens. They understood that most important was their role to protect those who are unable to protect themselves. I'm sure that by now it's evident that I'm going to be talking about abortion in this Blog... If you're an abortion supporter, please don't just stop here. Read on because there's more here than only that one thing...but that's where we'll start.

I am strongly pro-life. Having said that, I also have to say that I'm not a person who hates or would denigrate any woman who's found herself in an unwanted situation and then had an abortion. That is definitely not the purpose of this Blog. This is about the election and the extremely radical positions of Barack Obama. I am convinced that even many people who do support abortion would not be comfortable with his record on this area...it's so extreme that I don't hesitate in calling it evil.

To understand why I say that, there are some things relating to abortion that people first need to realize...meaning: really stop & think about.

• God-given rights of Americans includes LIFE, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The Supreme Court is unconstitutionally stripping that right away from the most vulnerable of us.
• Medical evidence continues to mount in support of the humanity of the unborn baby. Better ultra sounds also show this. At 6 weeks gestation, most women don't even know they're pregnant, yet the baby has eyes, lungs, GI tract and heart clearly visible.
• In many states a minor who couldn't walk into a hospital and be treated for a cold without parental approval can walk in & get an abortion on demand.
• A husband has lost his right to help determine child's life or death under the current system.
• There are dramatic increases in our ability to treat medical issues before babies are even born such as surgery done before birth.
• Aborted fetuses are trafficked for research, etc...
• Abortions are still dangerous to the mother, both physically and psychologically. Regardless of the PR, this is documented.
• 1.5 million per year are killed by abortion. That's averages out to just over 4,000 per day and/or one child aborted every 20 seconds.
• Abortion techniques are extremely painful; methods include babies being burned with poisoned salts or dismembered alive.
• ONLY 1/2 of 1% of abortions are for hardship cases (rape, incest, danger to the mother's life).
• Judeo - Christian beliefs consider ALL life sacred.
• God Hates Abortion. Evidence of this is throughout the Bible.

Barack Hussein Obama, the Pro-Abortion Candidate...

Now, regarding Obama's stand where abortion is concerned.... And make no mistake he DOES take a Stand. This is a man with whom it's usually pretty hard to get a clear and definite picture of his position EXCEPT with Abortion. When speaking about abortion, he said "....On this fundamental issue, I Will Not Bend." And Here, ---He Doesn't.

• At least twice he's clearly stated that as President, he would ONLY allow Pro-Abortion Justices to be appointed to the Supreme Court.
• He is in league with Planned Parenthood, in spite of it's racist practice of concentrating clinics in areas that are overwhelmingly African -American and actually accepting donations from those showing them-self as racists.
• In defense of supporting late-term abortions, his justification is based on falsehoods. At this point, it becomes less of a burden on a woman to give birth than to go through an abortion procedure...in other words, health issues are moot by now. There is NEVER a 'save the life of the mother' situation where this type of abortion is concerned.
• As a state senator, he opposed the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban in 1997.
• He voted 4 times against a bill that would protect the life of an infant born alive after a botched abortion. He's repeatedly lied about why. This was during his time in the state senate and the language he said must be there for him to support it WAS in the bill and he was on the committee that put it there. He was the ONLY IL Senator to speak against this bill.
• He has a record of voting for abortion and against alternatives.
• He's on record against a pro-life Democratic Bill that would offer assistance designed to encourage women to give birth.
• He opposed adding them in the S-CHIP program.
• He's opposed to any information being shared with women except counseling for abortion. On Record as opposing federal funding to any pro-life counseling centers.
• He has pledged that his first act as President would be to sign the "Freedom of Choice Act". Sounds like a good thing doesn't it? We Americans Value our Freedoms. If passed, this act will remove ANY & EVERY barrier to abortion on demand for everyone and this increase in abortions will be paid for with tax dollars. It will wipe out the Hyde Amendment which has limited abortion. It will wipe out the Bush law that stopped American tax dollars from promoting abortions abroad. It will wipe out parental notification laws. It will wipe out informed consent. It will wipe out any 'conscious protection' of medical professionals whose beliefs do not support the practice of aborting babies.

...Seems the only choice that BHO wants to give women in a crisis situation is: Abort the burden, the mistake, the problem . This is the description of someone who is NOT PRO-CHOICE....

HE'S PRO-ABORTION.

And one more thing relating to Obama's Pro-Abortion stand. This is something that many Americans may not have thought about yet.... The huge increase in the number of abortions that would be a direct result of electing Barack Hussein Obama as President of the United States WOULD GUARANTEE THE COLLAPSE OF THE SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM. The system has always been set up so that current workers deductions pay current retirees benefits. What happens in a few short years when a huge percentage of what would have been those workers is not alive because they were aborted? Yes, there surely has been mismanagement of the system as with all government ran things...but those things can be reversed to some degree... What I'm talking about here - can't!

I also want to touch on an issue that I have some personal interest in: Stem Cell Research. This has been touted as the next miracle cure for many diseases that are running rampant. Here's my problem with the media coverage on this issue (and BHO's position as well). It seems to me (and others) that the only type of stem cell research that liberals and radicals want to talk about or even explore is embryonic stem cell research. When you ask yourself 'why?' there's only one answer possible...it is the method that destroys a life. There's nothing else to commend it to them. This is especially obvious when you know that... In TRUTH, ONLY Adult Stem Cell Research shows any promise or has made ANY advancement. The last I heard, seven diseases had already been treated through advances in ADULT Stem Cell Research.

Just a Little FYI:
Not exactly about our right to life...but more about it's quality for our families...

In a speech at some Planned Parenthood Event (I wonder if it was a fundraiser for him?), Obama jokingly referred to the news being released that he supported teaching sex education to Kindergarteners. He said, "...and which, um, I didn't know what to tell them." Then he chuckles somewhat nervously...and goes on, "bu-but it's the right thing to do."

Well, there you are... some more evidence that backs the opinion that BHO is a Radical Liberal who thinks he knows better than the majority of Americans ( & even God) what we should and shouldn't be doing in & with our lives - or teaching our own children. I realize that issues like abortion haven't been in the media coverage of this election...but they are still important issues anyway. PLEASE, think about the whole picture and get the truth before you vote.
